Confusion: Automatic for 2010 - 2012 1LS/2LS transmission availability

Once again I've come across conflicting information:

[2012]

[1LS]

Standard: Manual Transmission
Optional: No Automatic available

[2LS]

Standard: Automatic Transmission
Optional: No Manual available

[Sources]

- GM Brochure including: http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/brochure...age=22&scan=22

HOWEVER : HOWEVER I can find 2012 Camaro 1LS's with an automatic transmission on various classifieds sites including ebay? Example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevrolet-Ca...US_Cars_Trucks

What about the 2011 Camaro 1LS and the 2LS? and 2010

Much appreciated.

On model years 2010 and 2011 the cheapest package was just the LS and you could get it in either a manual or auto. In 2012 and up they split the LS package into 1LS and 2LS. The 1LS is only a manual with normal 3.27 rear gear ratio. The 2LS is only a auto with a lower 2.92 rear gear ratio so that that Camaro can with this package get up to 30 MPG. If you see a 2012 or newer 1LS listed as a auto or a 2LS listed as a manual then someone is confused and dosent really know what they are talking about.

Excellent,

Did the 1LS allow for an Automatic anytime in the USA? (Seems Canadian Brochures indicated yes).

Do my questions would be:

[2010] Was it JUST a "LS" with Manual AND auto available?
[2011] Was is 1LS (Manual only) and 2LS [Auto only]
[2012] - [2014] Same thing as 2011

And did USA cars and CANADIAN CARS offer differently (ie. manual AND auto for 1LS, and 2LS was only auto) Seems all my Canadian Brochures seems to indicate this and the USA version specified Manual only for 1LS and auto only for 2LS.

Thanks very much :-)
