Question Stock Rotors and Pads vs Aftermarket??

Ok - It's time for new brakes on my 2012 V8 SS/RS. Trying to decide if I should stay with stock rotors and pads, or stock rotors and aftermarket pads or aftermarket rotors and pads. I see a bunch of threads but can't decipher the best solution. Maybe someone can point me to a thread that I missed.

So, here is my question:

What is the best aftermarket rotor/pad setup to replace my stock rotors and pads. Or is stock the best way to go?

I drive it somewhat hard. However, I DO NOT take it to the track or drag race.

If you're not going to the track, I suggest sticking with OEM rotors and some Hawk HPS pads. You'll get a better initial bite than OEM pads with slightly less dust and factory rotors are actually nice pieces.

Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions.

Stock rotors are pretty good, if not better than most aftermarket 1-piece options available. I'll be using the stock rotors with race pads (Raybestos ST43) at the track.

^^^^ I'm in this business, Auto service w/brakes mostly, and this is what I would recommend as well. If your happy with how it was working before then don't change it other than possible a Lifetime guaranteed pad from a reputable place.

Got front and rear powerstop ceramic pads with hardware kit from rock auto for 66.65 shipped to my door in 2 days.

So far I'm impressed with the pads after brake in. I read online reviews for other performance cars, good things that used them as dd.

Fwiw first pad change at 77k with 5 to 10k miles left on them
