2010 Camaro SS vs M6

Question for ya, I have a buddy with a 07/08 M6. He said its stock.
I'm at 460 to the wheels. Who do you think would win. I have the LS3 and not to shabby with shifting.

You should take him from a dig or roll up to 150 mph if you can drive. If he has the SMG those cars are monsters up top.

He's told me on the highway not many cars can touch him. He also said that the higher the speed is the more power that car has.

Well, we took off the light and we were even up to 60-70 then we let off. I kept hearing my tires squeal. If I was on my radials I would definitely get him.

You should be able to have him with or without. Work on your launches. From a dig you should still be able to beat him.

Never heard of that know without the M mode its only 400hp. M mode turned on 500 hp iv'e seen these cars give higher hp cars fits from a roll past 150 mph. Must be nice to have a sedan that can run over 200 mph :(

His car does have the 500 HP engine. He raced a stockish 2010 LS3 and left him in the dust. But since I'm at 460 to the wheels that's why I was asking. Call me what you want but I really don't like the high speed highway racing. That's why I'm going to focus towards the track.

This will be a no contest at the track. M5/6's are pigs out the hole. On the street you will have a car or two until the big boy numbers then the M6 goes by like a freight train.

+1

Not encouraging doing any of it on the streets but say you found an air strip and was able to open them both up. You should be good until about 160ish and then the M6 would catch and pass you. That is if its limiter has been removed like yours should be at this point with all the tuning. Drag on our cars is terrible.

We don't have an abandoned air strip close by. My only time to practice is to find an empty street or something. Wednesday I'm going to the track for the first time. I am nervous as can be. I'm really hoping I don't chicken out. What I'm worried about is missing gears bc of all the pressure from ppl. I heard the best thing to do on the first run is to take it easy. So the next time there's less stress.

Your first few times at the track should be about learning the feel of your car and building up your skills. Ignore times and practice doing proper launches and shifts.

People are not going to be making fun of you unless you do something really jackass. Everyone has been there before and only a real Bubba is going to want you to push yourself farther than you should safely do so.
Try and focus and just the car and you and remember the most important rule (after safety) HAVE FUN.

My father has an 08 M5 with the SMG. I blew his doors off pretty bad, and I only have headers and a tune.

I'm pretty sure the odds would be in his favor above 130MPH, though, but I won't do that on the street.
