cheap foam gun idea!?

So i was cleaning my garage and came across the bug sprayer. The kind that you hook up to the garden hose and put to chemicles in the jug and just let the water feed out the chemicle.I was wondering if I put soap in one and tried to make it work like a foam gun. Has any one ever tried this?? I might this weekend!!

You need to have forced air somehow. My experience with the garden sprayers is that there isn't enough air to create foam. It just slops out soapy water.

No, you need the foam gun to receive air because that's how you get the foam.

I have used this myself and also posted a thread about it. The one I used allows it to foam.

This is what I used, not where I purchased it. Just googled Ortho sprayer. Has a dialer to allow air in.

I either missed the thread or forgot, but do you have pics of the foam that produces?

You can get a foam gun for around $25 from tractor supply store.

Sorry no I don't. I just bought it and used it while I was in Ohio on leave, washed my camaro, my mom's miata and my dad's Harley trike with it. Used Adam's shampoo with it and foamed well though. No comparison to the professional foam guns, but it foams well.

Can't really do a real wash here at this apartment complex so I usually just use the touchless until I can get home to Ohio again. But the deal I have to make to wash it there is to wash at least one of my parent's vehicles at the same time. (Especially since most of my good detailing items are in my father's garage and he' knows they're good.)
