It's obvious the reason he chose to buy the new Camaro over the Corvette ZR-1 is because he likes Camaros alot end of story. All you have to do is watch every episode of Diners Drive Ins & Dives to know that because every episode he is driving in a 67 or 68 red convertible Camaro. Dont get me wrong I would LOVE to own a new Corvette ZR-1 its a dream car of mine too but the C6 Corvettes are getting kind of stale design wise since they have been out a while while I still like them thats why the new C7 is coming out in about a year. The new Camaro on the other hand is one of the sexiest cars on the road today its a newer car and on top of that this cars design just seems to NEVER get old to people. I have had my 2010 Camaro for close to two years now and still get thumbs up, stares and people gawking at it.

He does, a red SS with black top and uses it in the Food Network show Dinners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Wonder if we will see him use the new one in the show from time to time?

yeah, i would have to agree with you, but from a $200,000 car gone and replaced with a say $45,000 he can still buy a ZR1,

Let me tell all the guys something that think it's not possible to replace a 200k car for a 40k car. Just cause you have a bunch of money doesn't mean you can't look or let along like a car that the everyday man can afford. And oh how shocking he can buy that over a vette or another expensive car.

From personal experience although I don't own a 200k car I do still own a car that was 98k and did have a 145k car and still I even went out a brought a new 38k camaro over a 120k porsche I was looking at. So yeah it doesn't have to be a promotional thing. I mean really at this point does the camaro even need any more promotion? I think not.
