Paint Protection Film Over Flat/Matt Black Stripes

Has anyone put the paint protection film over the matt black stripes?
I plan on putting it over the entire hood including the matt black stripes on a silver Camaro 2SS.

Have them cut out the section where your matt graphics are. People do it all the time

that's what they did for my stripes. Looks awesome, as it's one more special thing on the car, where you can not tell there is a clearbra.

I always seam up the clear bra to mattt stripes to keep the original look. You should never go over them... especially if you are doing a partial hood. A good installer will be able to clear bra the rst of the hood without covering any of the stripes. Dont let them cut on the car though... they could cut your paint.

So if the matt stripes are not covered then that means they can be damaged. I there no way to protect the stripes? I already have a scratch on one of my stripes but it will be repaired next week by the shop that is doing the install of protection film.

Silver Bumble Bee,

here is the best pic I have recently. If you notice, you can see the shiny part vs. matt on the passenger side of the hood. Hardly noticiable unless your right up on it.

Thanks for the picture. I'm getting the entire hood covered so there wouldn't be a difference in coverage of the stripes. I was more concerned about the glossy look. They look fine too me. I don't see a problem with the way the covered part of your stripes look. They don't appear too glossy to me. My car is silver so I'm sure they will appear differnt in some way but your picture gives me more of an idea of how the stripes look if they are covered.
