But you are right. It could be trouble. I don't get to the strip much at all. Mainly because I need rear wheels to use with DRs. Once that happens I'll go often. I may do the axles at that time.
Sounds like a good plan.

$375 for a set of 18" wheels... Autos don't break axles anyway...

Don't listen to Mike...this is the same guy that said his transmission was fine until it broke at CFest.

Here's an auto car.

Lucky for me SuperchargedSS has a 2 car trailer and saved me a couple of hundred bucks on a tow. I thought I was pretty safe with car being an auto.

Russ:
How is the driveability on the street now that you have the new engine in? My big concern with going to the 427 LSX with my maggie is that it might not be well behaved on the street.

I've only driven about 50 miles since it went in (had to leave on business), but so far it feels great.

I've had several people warn me against going above the rwhp I have now because they say my car will no longer be fun to drive on the street. I don't want that to happen.

Don't know about that. It was my driver for months with 600 to the wheels. Are you even driving this car every day?

Not every day, but I drive it when the weather is good. I drove it almost every day last week. Went through a tank of gas in 3 days. So fun.

But, it is not what I call my "daily driver."

I knew you'd say that.

That's my inclination as well.

What are you planning to do to get the hp up to 1000?
