I suppose the Malibu is chopped liver, along with the Silverado, Traverse, Equinox, Suburban, Tahoe...

haha mercs are not known for being great, long lasting cars.

and as for the new chevy line up, yes, it it great! i honestly like every car they offer. yes, the impala is do for a make over. and the aveo, for the price, is not bad. and i like the cobalt, again, it has a great price, and the SS mmmmm.

and the cars that you stated are exceptional for chevrolet, and i think they will be the new standard for all GM cars, along with the CTS, SRX and LaCrosse.

its an American Revolution

That's called "driving too fast for conditions." His fault.

Try touching the bumper with your finger, the whole thing bends lol Top Gear joked aabout that with the vette
Yes they do, just not in the same places where you might lean. This is .7 or .8 mm thick steel (can't recall which off the top of my head). It isn't "cheap". It's the same as other GM cars and trucks.

Your complaint is valid, but I can assure you body panels are checked for "oil canning" and "dent resistance". Your Camaro meets these specifications.

Flat panels are more prone to this. If there is a feature line or depression through the panel it is less susceptible to this.

Was that for a Challenger? It's heavier than the Camaro so I can say that

I havent leaned on mine, except for while working on it, or sat on it just because of this and trying to avoid scratches. These are not the tough body panels of the 60s. Back then you could wax your car then sit on the hood and slide off of it without causing any damage. I wouldn't think of it with most new cars today. It's not just a Camaro thing.
With that said, I did notice after installing my headers a couple months ago that there were some small impressions on top of the front fender from leaning my elbows during the install. Any future work, the fenders will get more padding than just a bath towel.

At least they pop back out with no damage, hell people were excited about that feature when Saturn first started advertising. . But with the size of the panel and with crumple zones as people said it's bound to happen.

The truth Rocky, is that none of the Chevy enthusiast want to admit. but there exterior body panels are very prone to denting. I first noticed it with a rental chevy truck in 2003 . Im not a Chevy hater in fact all my vehicles are Chevy now. Great engine, great design but not "Ford tough " to coin a phrase. I have owned three F-150's leaned against , them all the time, no dents. and I am heavier than you. I have seen a 115 lbs girl climb onto the hood of a mustang without any warping at all. Try that with a Camaro, and well.... dont try it.

The roof on my silverado will oil can with hand washing. One day I took it through a brushless car wash and as I drove under the air dryer my hood buckled. I Just about stained my seat. When it got up near the windsheild it gave a huge pop sound and was back to normal. Haven't been back through that particular wash since
