Yes I had to shim alittle between the hood and hinge jut to level it out. I did wait to polish until the paint was fully cured |

On the underside of the hinge there is a rubber snubber with a 7 mm headed bolt under it. You can adjust your height this way more precisely. Usually I need to raise both corners about 1/16

I have had one other person tell me that. Every hood I have installed seemed to need the exact same thing, so never had to shim like that. Installed a Force 5 on Saturday. But every car is a hair different I suppose.

I've been saving all winter for a MPD-1 cowl hood .
Besides my auto body guy says he's very busy with wrecks. Before I order just want to make sure the hinge ,latch & washer fluid squirter thingy will bolt right up . No issues . |

Several people have asked me about adjusting the hood so here is how I did mine. If it sits good everywhere but the front center then there are two ways to adjust it. One way you have to be careful if it is aftermarket because you can cause stress cracks in your paint and that is adjusting the latch. I learned the hard way. It will work fine and look ok for awhile. To adjust it remove the latch cover plate, which is the black plate where the torx screws are that you adjusted. Then the latch has 2 bolts that you have to loosen. Make sure you hold the latch when you loosen it because moving it a little will make a big adjustment. Just move it down a few fractions of an inch and then tighten it up and check the fit. It takes several attempts. Another method to adjust the center and what I ended up doing as the final fix is to shim the two torx bolts. Basically you are extending the reach of the bolts and will raise up the bumper cover. Just remove that same plate and add some washers under the torx bolts then reinstall everything. Again it take some trial and error to get it right. The best part of this technique is that with a fiberglass or carbon fiber it prevents putting stress on the latch hook attached to the hood. It took me awhile to get it correct but it worked out good. As for it not sitting good in the rear you can add shims to the hinge to hood mount location
