22" Inch rims--do I lower??
To the experts:
I have a new set of 22" rims and tires I'll be installing when I get home (currently deployed oversees). My question is can I install drop springs with that size of tire without having clearance/rubbing issues? Would it be recommended to lower the car with 22's? If anyone else has, can you post a before and after pic for me...I want to make the decision now...If I can I'll order the spings now so I can get everything done at the same time. Thanks |

It is going to depend on what size tires and offset you will be running. I waited about 6 months before I pulled the trigger. I really thought my tires would rub. After lowering I have not had any problems. I'm running 265/35/22 on 9 1/2" rims on all 4 corners.

Are both these 1" drops or did you do a 1.25"?
I'll be riding on 265/30 in the front and 315/25 in the back...and looking at BMR or PFADT springs. Thanks for the pics |

I lowered my car .75" on coilovers with my 22's and it sits pretty imho.
No rubbing even over bumps. |

Im riding Pfadt 1.25" lowering springs with 265/30/22 in the front and 315/25/22 in the rear, no issues what so ever! At times i forget im riding on lowering springs untill i whip the car around corners and realize how stable it is. Im sure the wide rear tire along with Pfadt sway's play a part as well but i would def lower it! No rubbing issues at all...

Some good-lookin' cars in here!!! Personally, I'm not usually a fan of 22's, but these look really nice!!! And I know fab410's car is AWESOME!!! If anyone is thinking about it, we do have 1.0" springs in-stock, and 1.4" should be here hopefully by the end of the month!!!
