silver header heat shield things??

is it safe to take off the silver headers heat sheild things? will it make the engine bay cooler? thanks for the input!

Is it safe? Probably.....if you have the factory manifolds it will make it hotter imo....my engine bay is ALOT cooler with the ceramic headers compared to the factory manifolds w/ the heat shields

Edit: there's a reason why the factory manifolds are rusted, sh*tty cast iron...that's why they have the heat shields on, to shield the heat

wow, I thought the engine would have been hotter if you take off the heat shields, even if the headers were ceramic.

But to answer the op's question, if you don't have ceramic headers, removing the heat shields will only make things hotter.

I thought the same thing but its defiently cooler and so is the manifold...
