Does it do this on both sides? I really do not think this is a strut issue.

You should probably chat with the folks at Eibach on this.

Well.... I just came back from the dealer, had the struts changed, and the same noise. They called the "GM engineer", and he told them to try a new vehicle on the lot, and compare.... same noise. The Engineer then told them to remove the new struts, and put my old ones back... He basically said that this noise is inherent to the vehicle, and the only way to relieve it would be to put softer spring, which would sacrifice the handing... What a waste of time Why didn't they just try another car from the start ? What I DON'T understand, is that my car only starting developing this noise towards the late fall

There you have it folks.... Our cars will always sound like my '89 Grand Prix :(

camarorick, Thanks for the update. Maybe the after market suspension people will find a fix for this embarrassing noise.

Lets hope.

I'm starting to wonder what else will be inherent to the vehicle. Here's my list...

- Front suspension
- Slight grinding from 2nd to 3rd
- Looseness in the drive train ( slop in the CV joints )
- clutch that has no gradual engagement

It's a good thing I'm a fanboy, 'cause I'd be looking for something else

I thought I was crazy until I read this thread. I have 300 miles on my 2SS and JUST heard the noise yesterday.

Mine does it too.. makes me feel like im in a beater.. then I get comments like.. if you didn't put wheels on it....., OR, its all that $hit you've been modifying.... OR thats what happens when you start jacking with a perfectly good car... good to know its not my dang fault.

I would have sworn my sounds were coming from the rf suspension. Removed the tunnel brace and all noises disappeared. The exhaust was hitting it. Loosened all the exhaust clamps (aftermarket exhaust), raised the exhaust, retorqued the clamps and installed the Elite Engineering tunnel brace. No more noises.
