SLP, you f*ckin ROOOOCK! Now THIS is what im talkin about! THIS is exactly what ive been saying i wanted from the start of the 5th gen rumors, a super powered N/A 427 Camaro. Im 50/50 on the Z/28 right now, sure its gonna be an amazing super car but the LSA just isnt my cup of tea, the Z/28 shouldnt be thought of as "GM's version of the GT500" which with similar horsepower, weight, price, etc its seeming more and more like thats what they're aiming for. In fact if we think back Ford's Boss 302 was supposed to be "Ford's version of the Z/28" haha, come on!

I love the idea of a 5th gen ZL1 with a 427 pushing insane horsepower numbers, just goes to show all those LS7 doubters in my oppinion. This is exactly what GM needs to do, even if its not hystericly powered like the ZL1 they mentioned, at least drop a 427 in an SS as an option against the upcoming Boss 302.

As for the car they tested...wow...if a 585hp car can pull those numbers then where the hell is the GT500? haha, id say the ZL585 is right where the Z/28 should be ;-)

I rather have the 427 in there for some weight savings. GET a GMPP crate 427 with 620hp. That should lay waste to a GT500 pretty damn good

585 = RWHP or Crankshaft?

If SLP did RWHP then Crank should be up in Mid 600's. Agree? I doubt GM will give the Z/28 the ZR1 Motor... but then again, it could be an upgrade option. You never know!
