IPF supercharger - ride along impression (with pics inside!)

Hey Guys,

About 2 weeks ago I met up with sycraft and his supercharged LFX Camaro in Orlando. He took me for a ride (actually 2) in the car, both under normal driving as well as under full throttle. I also had a chance to check the car top-to-bottom while it was on.

Sycraft was nice enough to meet me and give me the chance to look at his car, so I want to return the favor by sharing my experience.

First off, the guy is a attention to detail freak! Car was very clean, and his mods are tasteful - including many Chevy optional add ons, and I think his choice of the IPF kit only enhances the vision for his car.

The kit is super clean - meaning the fit and finish of all the parts fits like an OEM glove - and I can't get over how simple everything fits into place. All form and function under the hood here. The supercharger bracket has a great fit and finish - the intercooler location requires no cutting - also you leave all your stock parts in tact - the only thing you modify if the MAF wiring by doing extension so it reaches the new housing located closer the inlet pipe and filter to the supercharger.

Riding Impressions. First off, I'm a big fan of refinement, and this kit has it. While under power, it is smooth and lineal - no abrupt drop off or peakiness. You hear the supercharger a little, but its all the right noises. After romping on it and coming to a stop light, the car adjusted itself well with no lumpiness in the throttle or idle, something I can appreciate. Another thing, the car is 100% stock performance-wise with only the IPF kit; this means stock exhaust and mufflers. That said, I felt there was a lot more power than stock (having just been in my v6 camaro driving to meet him, the two cars felt night and day - I felt like I was riding in my friends 2011 5.0 mustang). So I can only imagine what the performance will be like with the car having headers, hi-flo cats, etc...I would have love to have driven it to give a better impression, but the ride along was more than enough to make me see there is a different car with this kit on it.

I especially liked the silicon hoses (personal preference) the routing of the intercooler/charge pipes, the location of the catch can, and the overall simplicity of the kit.

And now for the pics!! (sorry taken with a Blackberry camera-phone )

I am going FI in Spring 2013, and I think anyone looking to go FI on their LLT/LFX should consider the IPF kit. Sycraft was very transparent with what the kit can do and his impressions thus far. I will be awaiting dyno numbers when they are released, but I wouldnt be surprised if they were over 400 whp. If anyone has any questions specifically for me, please feel free to post and I'll try to answer as best as I am able.

This Kit is still at my top of the list for FI for my Camaro. Only thing that would change my mind in a heart beat would be a nice looking Roots type Blower :-)

Thanks for the kind words, This is a blast to drive and I am a bit of a clean freak. Just took 5th place overall at an all makes and model show last weekend. This included some trailer queens that were brought in. Next time I am there, I will let you drive....

Thanks to Sycraft for showing off his IPF Supercharged Camaro! And thanks to stand-al0ne for the kind words.

Anyone looking to go with the IPF SC Kit will not be disappointed! We worked very hard on this SC Kit for you guys and gals.

If anyone is interested please feel free to call me if you have any questions as I know it's a big investment.

Thanks,

Jesse!

Somebody know if there is a meth kit or pulleys that offer more boost for these?

Like simt3k said, are there any upgrade options with the kit?

Do you have any kits currently in stock? If not, what is the wait time?
