Car wash?

Will brushless car wash have any bad effects on my top? I would like to have the undercarriage flushed a couple times a year.

Most on the forum, including myself, will never go into a car wash, coupe or convertible. Why take a chance!

You're better off putting it on jack stands and pressure washing it yourself. Those auto washes are lousy and half the time I'm pretty sure the detergents are heavily diluted. Also, if you are running staggered rims, or lowered your car, don't do it!

I've found the most fulfilling cleaning can be done with a pile of rags and elbow grease. It's time consuming, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I hand wash the outside of it, but I'd like to get the undercarriage clean without having to jack it up. I'm old and decrepit these days!

I don't know where I saw it but there is a hose attachment to wash the underside

That would be great. If anyone knows where to get one, please shoot me a PM. Thanks in advance.

I've seen pressure washer attachments for undercarriage cleaning but not one for a regular hose. Would that even have enough power to clean under the car?

They make an attachment garden hose spray with about a 2' wand and a curved mullti function head that makes getting under the car (and staying dry) easier.

Only washed by hand. Looks like the day I drove it off the dealer's lot 5 years ago. Why take a chance? Too much that could get ruined easily.

Buddy, I run mine through the car wash once a week. (I know, sacriledge!) No negative effects to the top. It still looks like new.
