Whats a good price for painted hood and stripes?
I am getting a Black 1LT and will be getting the RKSPORT Ram air with heat extraction hood and was wondering what is a good price to have it painted black and red stripes added to the car?

I had a shop here in NC tell me around 700.00 to paint the hood and the trunk stripes.

I had a quote for $680 in Indiana. I am going to look around a bit first though, because I need a shop that really knows paint...not one that knows how to reattach a bumper after a fender bender! I want to customize the striping and that will add to the cost. Shop around and do not shop for the lowest price...shop for the highest quality.

Hey RedGem, where at in Indiana did you get the qoute? I'm in Kokomo and had two shops here in town quote me $1700 to paint my stripes.

Depending on the quality of the paint, shop, and painter your quotes will vary greatly. I wouldn't go cheap w/ this and I would research extensively to find a custom type paint shop.
