the fix..... download music onto flash drive and leave it pluged in... no pop/static/etc and you never have to remove from you car.

I have the same issue with my 12 day old car, did a search on it and found this thread. I use a 160 gb iPod Classic and have 4 other vehicles with iPod cables, this is the only one I have this issue with. The whole iPod interface is very strange with this radio. You've gotta love Government Motors...

Bump..

Anything new on this? Mines been doing it for a long time, and occasionally my radio will freeze while using the PDIM controls on the dash board, and will also just stop working. Went to a local stealership and was told that "its normal", which it is obviously NOT normal.. wouldnt do anything about it though because they couldnt replicate it during the 2 minutes they sat in the car listening to Journey's Dont Stop Believin..

Yeah I'll get the "progressive static" problem too, with my iTouch. I unplug it, plug it back in and it's fine for awhile. Any clue's yet? Kind of embarrassing seeing as my car only has 700 miles on it :s

This sounds like a universal issue (captain obvious statement)

In all seriousness though, when can we expect a service bulletin on this? Mine will do this about once every two weeks which is enough to piss me off.

Mine is now constant...and constantly annoying! Was going to have the dealership look into it, but when I arrived for my scheduled appointment, they said I wasnt in their appointment system!

Still a sporadic issue

Anyone have any words of wisdom for this. Mine did it twice in one week and then hasn't done it for a month. It did it again yesterday.

GM is working on a fix. Ive been in contact with them and should hear back within the next few weeks about a service bulletin.
