i would think it should, its the same body. and i dont believe chevy made two different exhausts for the v8 and v6. they both have the big suitcase muffler. good question for your dealer though, just to double check

i have the ground effects package on my car. It's a 2lt RS the only thing is the front air dam does not fit right. the side of the SS on the front end is squared off wereas the side of the 2lt is rounded in on the bottom. there isd a gap on both sides because of this otherwise everything fits

Here's my take on this...

My car was repaired recently from getting hit. Damaged were the front and left side pieces of the GFP.

The insurance company ordered the parts, and when they were received, they were the wrong ones. According to the person doing the body repairs, the LT peices would not fit on the SS. I had to wait an extra week and a half for the replacement parts to arrive.

So...in my experience, the pieces are different...

was he referring to all the pieces not fitting? did you ask him which piece wouldn't fit?

Yes, he was.

Initially, he returned the front ground effects piece because it wouldn't fit.

About 3 days later, he got to putting the side one on, and that didn't fit, which was how he found out that it was for the LT too. He then had to order the side ones as a package, even though I only needed the left one.

In fact, I have a spare right side GFX piece now for the SS because the left/right pieces came as a package.

I just installed the side and rears from a "v6" kit last night with no problems except that the exhaust covers didn't fit...now they're on their way, but no problems at all.

Your body guy maybe made his own mistakes??

I just had the Ground Effects installed on my SS and it was the LT Ground effects, the only part that would not fit is the front fascia everything else is perfect!

He was a perfectionist from what I could tell. Maybe he spotted something wrong between the two sides you didn't installing new?

Remember, he didn't replace the right side...and he did say the pieces were different.

Perhaps the sides fit on the SS, but are shaped differently.

Only part that is different between the two is the front splitter.
