2010 Camaro 2SS vs 1995 Ferrari F355
I was driving to the gym today and an older gentleman in a mid 90's (best guess) F355 pulled out behind me and ran up immediately to my tail. I wasn't out there to prove anything so I just continued to drive normally but I obviously started to think about who would win if there was a race. I'm thinking drivers race in a straight line but Ferrari w/ the clear edge on the track. Apples and oranges here, as the F355 is a rare collectors item, not a muscle car of any kind, just interesting.
The stats are pretty impressive, especially for the mid 90's: 3.5 Liter 40 Valve V8 380 HP, 268 LB-FT 2968 lbs (wow) Claimed 0-60=4.6-4.8 This is what it looked like, http://www.allsportauto.com/english/...5&zl_idMD=1264

There's just something about the way those cars sound! Love 'em but I think you would of had him from a role w/o much problem.

i remember those cars as being 107-110mph trap speed type cars.i might be wrong but thats the number i had of the top of my head,. didnt the modena essentially replace these? The F355 to me was the last of the ferraris that looked similar to the iconic ones from the 80's.....thats not to say the newer ones dont look good because theyre gorgeous in their own right

My buddy drives one of these. I've always wanted to see how I'd fair against him. Only difference is his is a 99 I think and a F355 Spyder.

My dad actually has a 95 f355 berlinetta. Its got a 6 speed so no F1 transmission (not sure if they offered it then). I know a few months ago when we were going to cars and coffee, he was in my car and I was in his driving, he punched it (as did I within a second), and I could not catch him. I didnt pull on him but I certainly didnt catch him (driving the 355). We went from about 30-90. Hopes this gives you guys some perspective on the speed. As far as handling, braking, chassis, the ferrari wins hands down as it should.

LOVE Ferraris....not many work on them around here so always a steady flow through the shop!
Try and replace the clutch on an F1 optioned....NOT easy, but they are awesome cars to drive. |

Kinda hard to believe given the power to weight advantage of the F car. It's giving up maybe 50hp but is about 900 lbs lighter???
