Me and my dad built a 70' chevelle a few years ago that i drove for a little bit but wanted the camaro. After i got the camaro he said he wants to bring both to the track one of these days. The chevelle has a ton of "mods" that we had fun putting together. Build it ground up.

Chevelle:
373 posi,
1969 vette 327 (forgot letter codes)
650 eddlebrock carb
High rise intake
Weighs about 3400 with me in it.(all aftermarket parts)
468/489 voodoo cam (not roller)
29'' tall tires with weld wheels
auto 350 trans with mild shift kit
motor is fresh, about 1000 miles

Camaro:
Vararam cai
Stickers (50 hp)

auto

Let me know what you guys think. If you want to tell me what you would think that the chevelle would run let me know.

Hey, I just got smoked by my chevelle, my brother was driving it and I was in my camaro, I had always wondered which one was faster.we lined them up on an old back road. I got the jump in my ss, the my chevelle blew by me like nothing. It has a stroked 350 with world products heads and performer rpm intake and matching cam package and holly 750 dbl pumper, I figure it's power to be 500 to 550, going to dyno it soon. It's a pro touring build that I plan on taking on the power tour next year.

Nice, just a little bit faster than mine

. I have a v6 so i would think that i would be in the same boat. The 327 sb the chevelle has good hp for stock. Pretty sure the stock codes were 300, but dont remember the letters

Would love to go to Raceway park in the spring to race them both. Hopefully i can get some more mods for a more even race

more mods the better

From the sound of it, mods won't help you. Your car weighs 3800lbs, and the Chevelle weighs 3400, with more horsepower, and a lot more torque. The Chevelle also has better gearing.
