ZL1 *MSRP* Dealerships

I didn't see one of these threads started but I wanted to find out which dealers are selling for MSRP? (if any)

My dealership (Sport Chevrolet in MD) that I purchased my 2010 SS for msrp is marking up..they said not 10k like most but there will be a mark up.

Winegardner Chevrolet in Ft. Washington MD said that they usually mark up their cars up 10k or so.

Anyone know of any MSRP dealers or one that isn't charging over 5k?

Only pay MSRP.

They can't get mark-ups if we don't pay them.

I've been saying this since I've been here. Only stupid people would pay a mark up. You know what? There are a lot of stupid people these days and dealers know it.

Dealers know someone with disposable and easily recoverable $$ who wants the car will pay the mark-up, no problem. Dealers have nothing to lose (but plenty of profit to gain) by waiting to sell their limited quantity cars. Unfortunately, this is the norm for SoCal dealers.

.

I was promised MSRP when they started the ZL1 list at my request back in February.

I expect them to honor it, or they will get some awfully bad press. I will of course give them a list of what news outlets I'll be writing to in advance. I'll be sure it is more advantageous for them to honor their word, since they wouldn't take a deposit back then and give it to me in writing. They did write down "at MSRP" on the list when it was started.

Hopefully I won't have to bother with all that trouble and we'll all be happy.

Criswell wants $10k above MSRP

Criswell wants 10k above MSRP...

Seems like All dealers in MD/VA/DC/PA/NJ area are charging above MSRP for the ZL1...For that money, with Zl1 predicted to be 60k + 10k dealer markup aka "market adjustment"= 70k territory....For that $$, I rather get a new Bnez C63 coupe, a used 2010 GTR, or CTS V coupe...I wanted to trade my M6 in, but I guess I will be waiting...

Ryan Elliott at Elliott Chevrolet-Cadillac in Stanton VA. They're only getting one though and I'm already locked on that one.

NEVER a dealer mark-up here.

My '2012 ESTIMATED PRODUCTION GUIDE NUMBER' is already spoken for.

But just keep in mind it is only an ESTIMATE, to be used as a GUIDE. Could be adjusted up or down. Hopefully we will get more. I have more than a few on my list that want the ZL1.

So what's the deal with 'courtesy delivery' to a local dealership?

Do you have to clear it with your local dealership? I.E. can they refuse?

Say one wants a ZL1 and local dealer want's $10K markup. As I understand it one could theoretically go to one of the dealerships without markups and get it courtesy delivered. But what can go wrong?

Can they charge for the service?

Can they try to keep it and sell it as one of theirs?
