I'm an aircraft maintainer and it's kind of engrained into my head to never reuse gaskets or seals. You're asking for leaks if you do that. I wouldn't reuse the header bolts either. I'm pretty sure those are designed to be one-time use items as well. Other than that I think you're ready.

welding the ory is a mistake.. maybe a few tacks to hold it from slipping dont weld it soild or you will regret it

the oem gasket is MLS and is fine to re-use.. so are the bolts.. loctite them

I've actually heard to either buy stock gaskets or reuse them, but I don't know about bolts.. mine seem to be in decent shape as they are now

Why shouldn't I weld? The guy I'm buying it from said he has it welded... But in all honesty, It's so tight that tacks are probably easier. I unhooked all the clamps on my catback to adjust it when it was vibrating, and it was a pain to move everything when it wasn't hooked up, so I'm not too worried about it moving after seeing how tight it fits in there

New motor mounts (poly) . Mine looked really worn out, car has 115,000 miles on it. It's a lot easier to do with no exhaust in the way.

I might try to find some used poly mounts, but I don't really have the money to do it right now. my car only has 89K miles on it

I got Stage 8 locking bolts, and new GM gaskets. I know you can reuse the stock ones and mine didn't look too bad but I didn't want to risk a leak. Not sure why you want to weld the Y, I don't see an advantage. Clamps work fine on mine.

cause he puts clamps on upside down so they are practically dragging on the ground

No new gaskets, I don't have 25 bucks.. The guy I'm buying my y from says it needs to be welded for some reason.. I guess I'll find out when I get it next week!

Oh and damage, my clamps are sideways not upside down..

I've not heard a case of the stock ones failing.. I asked around LS1tech and nobody here has had any personal experience, so I'm probably just going to reuse them .

you may like to pick on me..but my car's louder than yours now and it's gonna be even Louder very soon
