Stay Marine--the real build begins ("P8TRIOT")

OK, so I've had her since Jun 26th, 2009; and completed a few mods along the way; but while I am still deployed in Afghanistan it was time to make some serious mods. I suck at taking photos, so the history isn't well documented to date; but the fellas at National Speed will fix that for the next Phase.

From humble beginnings, here it goes...

Getting the car so early, just driving around my town for the first 4 months was a novelty...as the only one in sight....but eventually the bug strikes and after reading so many threads on CAIs, while at Camaro5Fest I, I took the plunge and picked up a CAI, Inc intake....what a difference!!!

next step up was the exhaust, first SOLO cat back and their HF Cats; shortly after JBA Shorties into the HF Cats (I know..., I know...but I still pass inspection--so that was the bigger concern). Sorry I didn't get good pics of the gear going in (it was pretty dark when I finished); but the tips look great!!

So to this point, the CAI got me 13.2 in the 1/4 mile at 109.

Adding the headers, HF cats and MACH X exhaust, I got to 12.7 at 112.

On the dyno, I also got to 400rwhp even...and 398 tq. Not so bad so far!

Below is the link to the exhaust vid!

Right before leaving for Afganistan last year, I sat down with my buddies at National Speed to talk about some power upgrades to bring down the house; the list got pretty long, pretty quick, and over the last several months has been modified...numerous times, but at the end of the day, she is going to get:
CNC heads and beefed up valvetrain
Cam
Blower
Fuel systems improvements
clutch
Suspenion upgrades
brakes
rims/tires
and a couple other trinquets....

I did get a chance to come home on leave during the deployment; and in doing so was able to get some great deals on rims/tires and a short throw shifter...

The rims are Concept One Deep Concave C5.1 (9" fronts; 10.5" rears) with NITTO INVOs (275 fronts; 315 rears)

Definitely more aggressive in the corners!
