Pnyklr-
X1 - provides power, ground and lowend bass for the 6x9 speakers
X2 - provides connections for all speaker wiring except for lowend bass which is in X1
X3 - provides low end (signal from head unit) to amp.

I ordered the X3 yesterday, so I would need just the X1 and X2.

I am curious how the OEM Boston system works, I have ALOT of experience in car

audio and would like to know how the center speaker is set-up? I just ordered

the sub harness that has the phono out and turn-on lead. Its so darn easy with

the battery in the trunk. I have $2k worth of parts from my last car, but I didn't

want to hack-up my Camaro wires and add 150 pounds in the trunk. These new

harnesses for the speakers is very interesting. Is the Boston amp just a 4 channel

stereo amp, or is it a 5 channel to include the center ?

I did decide to build a small sealed box (3/4" MDF) for 1 of my Diamond subs. 900WRMS at 4 ohms

will have to suffice.

I'd be in for an X1, X2...

What about inline switch to delete the center channel?

I think it is more than a 5 channel. If you look at the schematic the rear mids are split so I think it is actually like a 7 channel?

you wouldn't need a swich. Just don't hook it up. Most guys will put in a 4 channel amp, so you'd wire the front components and rear 6x9s (leaving the rear tweeters unhooked as well because they don't do jack)

I could actually have the harness built without those wires (center speaker and rear tweets), but I'd probably get someone bitchin that they need to be able to wire up the center speaker for whatever reason so it's best to have all wires present.
