YES!!! Beat the 2013 Mustang
Went to the track Friday night and met this really nice guy named Jay. Owner of a 2013 stock V6 Mustang. We immediately hit it off and arranged it so we would be racing head to head each time we raced. I'm a very experienced 1/4 racer, having 5+ years experience. Mostly with much faster cars than my 2013 V6 Camaro. The races were EXTREMELY close. I'm talking inches. But I won all three. Posting a 14.1, 14.2 and a 14 flat. The feeling was amazing. You always want to win, but to beat the Mustang is the icing on the cake.

That's cool, congrats! It's strange hearing of a V-6 Camaro posting times that are comparable to the muscle cars from the good ol days.

Agreed. Congrats again. My neighbor has a 2013 v6 California mustang. I helped him install some caliper covers the other day, while doing so we were talking about the comparison in hp and who might win in a race. Maybe one day.

The latest Camaro V6 (stock) is rated at 2 less HP than the base configuration of the awesome 396 c.i. hogs of the 60s-70s (323 vs. 325). Torque may be a different story but these new V6s are very impressive.
Congrats, OP.

If it's a 1LS its a manual. 2LS's are autos.

Thanks guys. I know it sounds gay. But reading all your responses makes me feel even more proud about it. All three races were nose to nose. But I won three for the Camaro 5 team.
