V6 looks better than a V8?
Hey guys, this come to my attention lately. First of all I'm not here to start anything, I personally like the mail slot on the SS and the lower fascia better looking than a V6 front end. Yesterday, however, I was going through my brochure I got before I purchased my car, and everywhere except the SS section, even on the cover, the car is a SIM V6 RS (Not sure if its a 2LT or 1LT). On Chevy's own Camaro site http://www.chevrolet.com/camaro-coup...amaro_|_camaro the car is again a SIM V6 RS. I bought a Camaro calendar a couple weeks ago for 2011, and the car on the cover is a RJT V6 RS. Anyone else noticing a pattern here? I think the V6 looks smoother up front, and marketers believe it appeals more to the general public or is it because they expect to sell more V6's? I think its the first. Also, on a quick google image search of "Camaro 2010" there's still more V6's than SS's. Am I alone on this though? Just wondering, and oh by the way this deep thinking come's from my boredom in my Chemistry 121 lecture right now. I think a nap is in order after I turn off my laptop as I still have another 37 minutes to go. Oh and don't hate, I was just stating and observation and not saying that the V6 actually looks better than a V8, they're both 5th Gen's so they're still the best looking thing out on the road

I personally like the look of the V6 front fascia better. I am not a fan of the faux-mailslot. I feel that without it, the front end flows smoothly and uninterupted, focusing on the wide upper grille. However, if the mailslot was functional, it might not bother me so much. The V6 fascia is also tucked up a bit more than the V8, and has more narrow corners. This is the same lower treatment the Camaro Concept had back in 2006.
Dont get me wrong, if I could have afforded the V8 at the time, then I certainly would have gotten it. The mailslot, wider corners, and lower front light-catcher all give the SS a more aggressive look, which was the design team's intention. I think Hylton did it best, got the SS and covered the mailslot. Best of both worlds!

v6 looks better. only reason people like the mail slot is because its associated with the more expensive one. we all know which one actually looks better

Love the aggressive look of the V8 compared to the V6.
The only time I would delete the mail slot is when you change out the stock hood for a TF2 style hood. I don't like the dual slot look.

Come on guys, both cars are great looking. It's a Chevrolet Camaro Gen5, nothing else needs to be said.
