Can someone measure the height of the grill opening in the center? I have a 68 Camaro Grill emblem i want to install and I am wondering just how it will fit in the opening.

Here's my heritage grill painted Black Satin. Posting since I was unable to find any pics of the heritage grill painted this color prior to painting mine.

thanks, the 68 Camaro emblem I have is 3 7/8 inches tall, so it will fit well in the grill, I painted the bowtie yellow to match the heritage grill.

Can this be done at home with flat black mate paint?

Krylon Fusion Camouflage Spray Paint ive seen it used on front bowties so maybe it could work???

Those grills look great. Finished mine yesterday. I think the SS in the center really sets it off.

I finished mine today. I used thin strips of 3M tape to hold the bowtie in place while I hotglued it to the grille. Worked beautifully! I also removed the gold portion of the bowtie while things were disassembled and painted in a textured black. I really like the new look!

will there be an option for the above grill - bowtie cutout or placement, other than ingenuity, tape and hotglue??

Nice job batman!
