cant believe this chit
was driving in Lacey today out shopping & my husband spotted a car in the Kmart parking lot along with other cars for sales (basically a huge car dealership off campas sale) & he pulled in. It was a Base model (totally base model) Camaro for $35k??????? We walked away from it. but NOT happy with it.
I am about ready to call the owner of the dealership & tell him what I think about his dealership charging 10k over MSRP. For a car.

They can ask what they want too, dont mean anyone has to buy it for that. They have the right to ask what they want and you have the right to say no. I dont agree with it anymore than anyone else but this is a free market society or atleast was.

Yeah it does suck, and you have to be a dumbass to pay that much...... just the same though,
MSRP is Manufacturer's SUGGESTED Retail Price ..... Not, manufacturer's legally binding only authourized selling price

When i see this stuff its like a big large billboard that says profit is our #1 priority over customer. Thats fine but no way ill ever buy from them in the future ever. This car has shown the true colors of all the dealers thats for sure. What piss's me off is when the dealer gets a customers car in then tries to pull a fast one and charge him for more cause its so popular.

Was it Titus Will??? When I went in to check one out in Olympia, they said 3k over, but were shocked that I was getting my 2SS/RS for MSRP. Wouldn't surprise me...

I don't see any problem with marking up a car sitting on their lot...who cares don't buy it move on....maybe there will be someone who wants to pay.
It's when they agree to a price with someone who has preordered and then jack it up after the fact breaking the agreement....verbal or written it doesn't matter that is bad business. |
