Seriously, Have you ever driven a Z06? It's tribute to American Engineering. It's got a 505 rated 427 small block, most will dyno at 520 right out of the box.
The lightweight valvetrain revs so fast you'd think it's an OHC motor. It's will drive around town all day polite as can be, hit the gas and the exhaust diverts, it growls and you fly. You can go to a track day at Laguna Seca and smoke most anyone just cruising around in 3rd gear! Did I mention I really like driving these cars?

I know if I drive the vette I will have to spend hours looking for my socks that get blown off. It is a beautiful car but then again the camaro is drop dead gorgeous although it is much much slower. what will i be happier with in the long run.. hard to say.

I'd vote for the Z06 as well. A Z06 will still be getting attention long after the Camaro's have become common.

Well...I love the camaro I really do..but you are going to have to find a way to make it your own...because they are selling like hot cakes...and you will blend in...however a Z06 will always be a Z06 and car enthusiast will always revere it in its natural state..

There's 2 classes in this society, ones who can afford the corvette and those who cannot. The camaro is the working man's 'vette' and it always will remain much more popular with the masses. If you go back to the 60's and look at a '69 camaro, it slams the '69 vette due to the affordability factor. fast forward to 2009 and it's the same scenario. The camaro will still get the looks 10 years from now and the vette will remain a 'nice' car but won't get the mass appeal that the camaro has. It is entirely up to you, but you'd be missing out on an awesome car for less money and who really needs 500 horsepower that can't be used under normal circumstances.

Logan, i don't dispute the rarity of the z06 over the base vette, but you're asking for opinions and i guarantee you that you won't be disappointed with the camaro. I have had mine for over 2 weeks now and it's awesome with TONS of looks. The vette in any configuration looks the same to me/???
If you're that torn, No amount of opinions will help you bro. |
