To GM!
1) You can't get a hold of a camaro right now.

2) No incentives right now to buy one (other than the fact that it is a camaro).

Some people don't want to wait 6months - 1 year for one to show up on a lot or have a decent financing rate. Coming from a younger person's standpoint, who lives with a budget ever, little bit helps. Hell, if I didn't love the camaro so damn much I'd make the jump and buy a mustang in a heartbeat. It's a nice car, I can get it now and get it for a decent price.

I'm not surprised one bit. At my dealership alone there's 7 2010 Mustangs, and not one has moved in over a month, not even for a test drive it appears, as they all have rusted rotors, every single time I look at them. I have seen a total of one on the road, v6, and that wasn't even in my town. To date, I have seen 8 different Camaros, and I'd say that's pretty impressive since I live in South Dakota lol.

I was always interested in the new Camaro, but I had my sights set on a 98 Toyota Supra with a single turbo conversion. All things about that car that I love aside...I didnt pay as much attention to the new Camaro until I saw it in person. Photos do not do this car justice in anyway...and the car is incredible in photos too. I wasnt as excited until I saw it in person. GM got this one RIGHT!

I think there will be a lot of people like me out there. I thought the concept was pretty dang cool, but the excitement didnt really take hold until I saw the car in person. There wasnt a single line on any angle that I didnt like...not like the Challenger. there is something about it that says to me it is trying to hard and is a shell thrown on an existing platform. The new mustang? ehhh. I dont like the exterior design until you start getting into the Shelby line. Anything less, just looks bland / generic to me. Every angle of the Camaro is just awe-inspiring to say the least. I just want to find the right exhaust note for the 2SS model. I am liking the Corsa so far, just looking for the right sound, not all out noise.

The Mustang and Ford went south for me when they started this whole 1 mustang per household thing. They are just way too common and very generic. I completely agree with you there. I have owned 4 so far 94/95/01/06. The Camaro for now is new and it’s something never seen before, the buzz will eventually go away along with everything else. The lines on the Camaro are just simply amazing.

Good news for GM. But it's still early. The real test is how well the 2012 is selling. Too often sales of a hot new sports car tank after the first year or two. The Mustang proves this doesn't always happen, though.

So where are all these camaro's hiding? They've already built more 5th Gen Camaro's than all 03/04 Cobra's combined, including coupe and convertible.
