Sorry can't help. I eat rather plain myself so don't have such recipes kicking around but if your hubby is like the typical one, he'll eat what ever you put in front of him, just don't tell him it's healthy. LOL.

Nope He is not typical. He was raised in a German Bakery & loves his breads & cakes. Most recently he has become addicted to a terribly unhealthy breakfast of what I call LCD's (little chocolate doughnuts). You know the ones, the little cake doughnuts with chotolate coating on them that every grocery store has. I used to love them too but if you read the ingredients they are simply unhealthy junk food. I have been after him for some time to find a better breakfast item and most of the time he won't even talk about it. So when this morning he challenged me to find him a healthy coffee cake & he would switch, I told him "done". I will find one. If not here somewhere on the web. I have already been searching & have asked in a couple of other places for friends to help. I will get this done!

The same one in the book? If so, I don't find it to be at all brownie like. I think he is thinking something more along the lines of the taste of Cinnamon Strussel Coffee Cake so that is the flavor I am looking for.

It's not from that book but I'd imagine it's close, I mean, how many recipes for healthy brownies can there be LOL. I've never tried either of them so I'm of no help there. I'll check a forum I'm on and see if there is anything there that might be close.

What happened, everyone give up? I don't see a 2014 thread???
I'm still kicking along. Hit a new PB on bench press of 3 reps of 305lbs. I might coulda gotten 5 but I didn't wanna push it much further for fear of shoulder injury. I'm up about 25 lbs of muscle since summer 2012. Stats today were 178lbs and 11.3% BF. A little more bulking till March, then it's time to cut back down to 9% or so. |

It seems like not trying to maintain those very low body fat numbers have been good for muscle gain, that's usually the case. |

Cool. I pop in here from time to time just to see how everyone is doing. Kind of a fun thread. I love the gym but understand not everyone gets to that point.

I've never tried them, it was posted for Ruby but I'm not sure if she tried them yet. I eat pretty basic so don't usually try things like this but the ingredients and macro's look to be pretty good.
You can be our test subject. LOl |
