3M clear bra
Going in Wednesday for clear bra, entire front nose, about 14" up hood, mirrors, door handles, behind front wheels, under doors, in front of rear wheels, behind rear wheels, area below open trunk where you might set a grocery bag or lean a box on? Also, carbon fiber strips to fill in the fake air ducts in front of rear wheels. Just trying to protect the investment.

Smart move. I have had the clear bra put on my cars for years. My new ZL1 goes in next Saturday. If you can do it I would highly recommend having the entire hood covered and also make sure they wrap the edges.

I realize your in Virginia but what kind of price did you get & how much are you having done? The work I described is $1,650? I have had this on my past Vettes as well as the wife's 2010 RS SS.

I get the entire front end, entire hood, pillars, mirrors, full front fenders, rockers and lower rear quarter panels for 1300. He normally charges around 1600 for this. Hope it helps. |

I like the Xpel Ultimate film I had put on my car. The installer matters more than the product. Good luck!

X 2 but I wouldn't get the 3M stuff. Definitely do the XPel brand. Much better stuff.

I had Ventureshield on my previous car and having the same put on the ZL1. I get lifetime warranty against yellowing, cracking, bubbling and misapplication. XPel is also really good.

Agree that the installer matters most. I'm going to use him again when the ZL1 arrives. I will use the spray-on 3M as a temporary measure until the film gets installed. Also going to do Opticoat. |
