Not official, just what I see. From a roll my money is still on a ls3 over the 5.0 but the track, the 5.0s seem to just avg a little better times due to being solid axle car.

SS vs 5.0 is a drivers race.

The 5.0 stock imo doesn't have the advantage. Drovemore than one, raced several. My friend went from srt to ss and even he admitted its stock is no faster than his 6.1....next time we track it I'll post videos...nevermind I still hear all the bs excuses.

Where did I say the 6.1 is a mustang killer???? Of course its not... the stock ones here run high 12's to low 13's which on par for a ss a well... the l99 here run mid 13's so where is the advantage?

All the compiled 1/4 mile times and trap speeds over the past few years from both magazines and private owners.

The mustang is a couple ticks faster stock for stock and mod for mod.
From magazines I have seen the Coyote go as fast as a 13.0. And that was with the 3.73 gear option. I have seen the LS3 SS go a 13.0 as well. The L99 SS has posted a 13.1. Those are the fastest reported times I have seen.

Motor trend has went as fast as 12.7 with the 5.0.

Private owners have went as fast as 12.2 or 12.3 bone stock with the mustang last time I checked.

Private owners have went as fast as 12.5 with the camaro bone stock.

The 5.0 also has higher reported trap speeds stock as high as 115 or so. 113 is the fastest I have seen for the camaro.

Same power and 2-300 lbs difference in weight. As good or better gearing depending on options. Better traction with the solid axle. Less rotating mass with smaller rims. The mustang is faster no matter which way you slice it. Accept it and get over it.

I beg to differ about the mustang being faster... I've raced one on the highway from a 3rd gear Pull all the way up top and partial 4th. Mid way thru 4th I shut down. I already had a car and a half on him and I have him the jump and reeled him in easily. Gearing makes a big deal. Being as I have the 3:91's.

If you're reading this objects In side view mirrors are losing as I'm rowing the 3:91's

I've beat a few of them before I added CAI, headers and tune. A friend in his 2012 auto srt8 with cai and cutouts could beat me before my mods. I can take him now. Those cars are too heavy.

Maybe the Boss...but def not the Coyote. I would like to see your sources. And I will have to change my previous statement about the Stang running 13.0...I saw that the Coyote has ran a 12.9.

And BTW, I do not count what some person claims to run in the quarter mile as official. I count official as stock out the door off the showroom floor with OEM tires, OEM recommended tire pressure, nothing removed from the vehicle, and no alterations or mods whatsoever. We all know that these people out here these days alter their cars and call it stock all the time. But I seriously doubt a bone stock coyote is running a mid 12.

Most cars out there run 12-13s. If you own a SS, R/T or a 5.0 your not all that faster than each other. Anyone's race. As soon as either you lose you'll just say its due to the weather or some crap and make up excuses as to why you lost.

Dude its old news.

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...n/viewall.html

The camaro ran a 13.1 and the mustang a 12.7. Their is even a video of it you try and find it.

The test was even done on the same day same place. Not that this test is the final word...but you asked for a source.

Like I said...just accept it and move on. This is a very old topic and I find it funny their are still this many people in denial/trying to argue the laws of physics.

and here is a 12.8 for you as well

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...t/viewall.html

and keep in mind...the 2013 gt has 8 more hp than the 2011 that these tests represent.

I am ashamed that I even got into this argument...it is so pointless and overdone on this site.

Believe what you want man...it wont make your car any faster
