2013 electric steering

Can the electric steering from a 2013 camero be adapted to a rat rod truck. I have the complete front subframe with motor, supension, steering, struts, etc. What is needed to adapt to a conventional steering column and connect it to electric power steering rack. Does it it need some kind of electronic sensors or can I hook to the steering rack directy. Any advice appreciated.
