Its an auto. Full boost was mad at 3300 but we will make it spool faster. As far as power this kit is designed to work with a stock motor in a houston summer so we wont lean on it real hard just to make a pretty number.

A big a$$ hairdryer at that. The LS3 sounds interesting with a big turbo, especially from the second angle. You really notice the difference on the decel.
Oh btw I had a CAI on my jetta that was within a foot of the pavement. Never had issues with water intake driving around Houston. I was always told to avoid boost as much as you can in the wet weather, for this and safety reasons of course

I was looking into installing a ProCharger on my car as I'm very familiar with there blowers having crew chiefed for my freinds 6 second Pro 5.0 Your turbo system looks really good though. Basically I will be driving my car almost everyday. Probably putting on about 15,000 kilometers a year. Will this turbo system be a good candidate for a everyday driver including a car that will get driven on some road trips of 500-600 kilometers in 90-100 degree weather?? Sorry one more question, the turbo camaro in the video, did that have the same exaust that the other black camaro had in your first video? Thats the only thing I don't like about turbo's, to quite And of course I would like to know about cost as well. If you would prefer to discuss this via email please drop me a line at richard.infanti@shaw.ca Thanks! |

Yup, hotter air from the wheel {friction} puts a small restriction on the turbo's ultimate power. Thats my idea on this anyway.

I think the guy meant having it that low in the car. how is hotter air from the wheel going to affect the turbo when the inlet is in front of the wheel? I could see if you were driving in reverse everywhere that there might be some heat transfer, but if you think the small amount of ambient air heat from the wheel is going to affect a turbo,

How much boost do you really think you can run on a stock shortblock? From what I understand on pump gas, there is some concern (especially on auto's) about the piston design and what a small amount of detonation might do to them. 9.5psi has been run on a TVS, but I was also told by those very folks that at that boost level it wasn't if, but when I'd be needing a new shortblock if I ran that on a daily basis. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the turbo, LOVE it, but what real advantage does it offer over other FI if you are capped to a lower boost level. Now, but a built shortblock=Game over, turbo rules....what kind of power do you forsee on a 9.5:1 built shortblock motor? How concerned are you about the tranny if you lean on it much more?
Sweet build, but I wouldn't expect anything less from you guys!
