Fuel Consumption
Just wondering from current owners how many kilometers/miles you are averaging to a full tank of gas. It's fully understandable that most cars are still in the break in stage... please specify if you have a V8 or V6. I'm not looking for MPG or L/100km, I'd like to know it as a distance measurement. Thanks

I seem to be getting about 400miles to a tank V6. I do mostly highway driving some city. That's an actual average of 21mpg. I am hoping to reach 25 when it breaks in but i dont know how true that is.

You won't see 25 unless 80+ % of your commute is on hwy. And a hwy that is not stop & go. |

I think I got near the 250 that others have mentioned in my Auto-SS. I forget exactly.
The computer said it was about 16mpg. That was my first tank (Premium) and I was hitting the gas a little more than I usually would. lol

250 miles to a tank? 16mpg? That's not very good. I hope that was all city driving or drag racing. My old T/A averaged about 20 or 21 with about 50/50 city/highway driving. I was hoping to get about the same with the SS. ALso hoping for over 300 miles to a tank.

Well I think that's good if your city driving. It's 400 hp. Can't get HP out of thin air something's got to burn.

got 350 miles on the 1st 15 gallons driving it home from MI thru Chicago interstate rush hour traffic the Friday of Memorial Day weekend.
at home we drive pretty evenly highway to city and got 250 miles to 13.8 gallons. and we're not beating her, but not driving economically by any means. DIC says 19.9 average thus far total. not bad for an LS3 in my opinion....................
