I went from the manual tranny to 4l80e and have not regretted it for a sec. It was not cheap by no means but it was well worth it

good to hear, i just ordered a squash 1200hp fuel system, dry nitrous kit and a smaller pulley for the whipple and am going to be doing the 4l80e swap. i was just trying to get an idea how much people were spending. really trying to hit 9's and be completely streetable

Parts will cost approximately $7400 from RPM depending on what level. They posted this in another thread. The above is for a level 7 and includes everything you need.

It all depends on what transmission level you need, but the swap is straight forward and relatively simple. I just about have the tuning wrapped up on a buddies car that did his own swap using the install kit from RPM, with the PCS controller, a circle d converter and flexplate, and a custom driveshaft.
