Where are you going for your 1st oil change?

I know some of you out there are doing it yourself, but what about the other guys? Are you taking it back to the dealership or a local oil change place? I have had mine for about 3 months now but I have only put about 1500 miles on it. It is time to change. Just asking

I took mine to the dealership at 2000 miles. Just wanted them to do a once over and had an issue with the passenger side sharkfin speaker to deal with... I may use them again for the second change, but after that will probably do it myself.

Myself personally, I go to the dealer ... They know what to use, and you don't have to worry about disposing of the oil and you will have a good record of maintenance....

I took mine to the dealer @ 1500miles for the switch over to Mobil 1. Took freaking forever because mine was the first Camaro they had ever had come into the service department for anything other than applying stripes. No joy riding was done but it sat up on the rack for a while as a bunch of the guys looked it over.

Does anyone not know how to do their own oil anymore? Give your vehicle some good stuff, not the crap the deal puts in it.

In my driveway :-) I'll put regular oil in as soon as I get home (500 mile trip) and then @1500 put in the RP oil...

My house...Pennzoil Platinum, Mobil1 filter, reset oil life monitor, keep reciepts for oil.

The fallacy of dealers or GM voiding your warranty for doing your own oil changes is ludicrous.

I already ordered 2 K&N oil filters, and the RP oil. I will use regular oil for the 2nd break in oil, Then the expensive RP synthetic oil..otherwise, got all the other stuff ready to go! Now just need the damn car!!
