My car is at 4800 but the dealer hasn't been invoiced?

Guys, this doesn't make sense to me, does it to you? The dealer said he hasn't been invoiced yet and claims my car in maybe a week away. Chevy themselves told me it was in transit though. What do you guys think? What does 4800 even mean?

4800 has 2 meanings. The official meaning and the acctual meaning. Officialy, who cares it doesn't happen that way.
Acctual, it means NOTHING.

Ask Trent. His car has been at the dealer and he can't have it because there is NO invoice. This may have changed recently but last I knew.

My dealer told me also that I was at 4800, then I asked him if he would double check to make sure it wasn't at 4B00................and it was. Hope this isn't happening to you.

I'd be inclined to believe that except that Chevy customer service themselves said it was in transit to the dealership. What do you guys think?

I spoke with the owners of the dealership I have been dealing with. They got their dealer V6 about 2 weeks ago, but no invoice or MSO (I think he called it); so they can't sell the car. He said there was no legitimate reason for this.

BTW.....I don't think this would apply in your case, but he told me GM asked him not to sell his V6 for a month. Then he said, they are intentionally "making sure" he doesn't sell it for that month. Now I've know him a long time, and he is a straight shooter. I don't think he would have accused GM of holding things up without an educated belief that it was intentional.

He also said he's been talking with a couple other dealers near him, and said none of them have gotten any Camaros other than their one dealer car. Total, they have 5 cars stuck at 3800.

So Im lost. Chevy says my car is in transit to the dealer. My dealer he should have it 1-2 weeks. But invoicing should happen way before then right? The dealer said he's usually invoiced a few days before the car arrives, but that's not what the codes say. But what he's said so far jives with Chevy. He's such a prick though and gets mad when I call him. For example, if I called right now, he'd say "Damnit, I have no news. What do you want me to do??". He's scary, but he's also giving me way more for my car than it's worth. Knowing that it's definately not a 4D00 and that they haven't been invoiced, what do you think is happening.

Sometime cars will show before the invoice. It's rare but we have had it happen before.

My dealer got an invoice for my car last week and my car is still at 3800, does anyone at GM actually know what they are doing?
