L99 and Hydra-Matic 6L80 Question?
When driving the automatic, can you drop the tranny to M while going down the road? Do you have to be at a stop to change the shifter to the manual tap shift mode, or can you change it and start shifting from the wheel on the fly?

nice ? ive never thought about that be4.. good. i imagine it would be a little jerk or something.. or i hope the computer will just be smart enough to keep it in the same gear ur in and and allow the computer to assist you in shifting up or down.

Thanks, I was hoping you could. If you needed to it would allow the down shift and aggressive thrust from the current speed. I bet that will be fun to play with.

In manual mode, it's also supposed to be programmed so that it stays in the gear selected till you change it, within minimum and maximum rpms. Great for taking corners a bit too fast and not upsetting the car.
(The tremec is the standard btw)
