I'm sorry if this has already been covered, I did some searching and didn't come up with a definitive answer.

When plugging an Ipod into the car via the USB port, will you be able to select music by playlist? or is it simply artist, song, genre?

Just curious as I have all my music separated into playlists and that's how I find the songs I want...

Yes, it comes up in the radio display. Search.....artist/playlist etc.

I have the Zune, playlist shows up under search, but won't find any playlists, it just stays at "playlists". I have about 6 playlists stored on the Zune, can't uderstand why the car won't find them. I tried unplugging it, radio, ignition on and off. It still won't recognize the playlists.

The Infotainment system sees my iPod playlists. Works great. When I plugged it into the car it picked up the last playlist I had open and ran with it.

I'm the same way. I have a playlist for everything. Each of my favorite tracks are organized carefully into different moods and orders that I use all the time. If the head unit couldn't process that, then I would have some real problems.

I have the BA stereo system and when I use the USB/ipod search function it recognizes artists, albums, and songs but does not even list the playlist option - strange! Any suggestions?
