Good news, everyone!

My dealer just called me. He told me that NO V8's will be leaving the Oshawa plant. Thanks to the battey cable issue, they have stopped all shipments until the cables can be REPLACED. Apperently, the metalic tape fix is OK for the dealers to do, but for all cars still in Oshawa they may decide to replace and / or re-route the cable altogether. And since the battery is in the back of the car, this means possibly taking the insides of the cars apart in order to be able to do it. And for whatever the reason, they will not ship the cars out "as is" and let the dealers fix the problem (which to me sounds like a more effecient way of doing things).

Mustang & Challenger owners, rejoice! No ass-kicking for you this summer!

Of course, no ETA on a new shipping date, delivery date, happy customer date was offered. It may take weeks, it may take more.

I am so happy right now I could just sh*t.

People will be confused by your post. You must be talking about Area 51 cars because I would imagine that they are correctly routing the battery cable in all the new cars they are building this week. They are not stopping the building of V8 cars.

I am glad they are doing this. I don't like quick fixes. And yes, they are not going to stop building V8's at all..They will be built correctly from now on as these fixes are only for cars that have been built wrongly.

So all this would mean is that the newly produced V8's would be made correctly and shipped out fine. I doubt they will stop sending out V8's completely since these seem to be the majority of the orders so far. Dont always believe your dealers.

Because ANYTHING from most dealers is just that.
