I don't think he was directing at you but Cyberpunk. Many still don't know. Yeah the key is good oil and early changes. Maybe you did it but thus far this is the rule.

Based on C5 member chain failures, synthetic doesn't matter.
Old school oil changes do, but only prolong the inevitable.
Weak design, fail on GM's part

No further update from the OP.
These failures are happening at all different times / miles.

If you go onto the Cadillac forums, you will see that the same issue occurs there. As I did it myself, what are prices dealers are charging?

Just FYI. I just got the check engine light today. Hoping it's not the timing chain issue.

I called my dealer and made an appointment. I dropped off the Mistress at Bud Kouts Chevrolet in Lansing yesterday where I bought her.
I'm over the normal warranty by date (May 26th) and supercharged, but they are going to diagnose and evaluate what they can do for me. I hope I can get positive news.

I received word from But Kouts, my dealer about the timing chain. The news is very good. They will cover the timing chain replacement under warranty. The'll charge me about 4hrs labor to work around the supercharger, but I'm okay with that.

I must say, I was pleasantly surprised and grateful to Bud Kouts and GM for their consideration.

Great news! Put those folks on the Dealerships & stealerships list as a dealership & give them a good review!
