I have yet to find a shop in champaign that does it all, there are a bunch of places that do a great job in specific items. If you want exhaust work Reds muffler shop is the place to go. Looks like a place I would never take my car but they do good work. Beaumont alignment does lowering spring and such, supposed to best in town. There is a new place here in Mahomet that is supposed to do custom work, but it looks like mostly classics. I went in there and asked a few questions but, they really have not got their stuff together. No lifts or anything, but they do have a few drag cars in there. My dad works with a guy who knoes cars so, I just ask him about were to take the car for whatever I am wanting done. So far I have done just about everything myself on the car.

How about paint work in ChamBana? Isn't there a custom paint shop around there? I remember seeing some guys at the Parkland car show in 2012 with some cars and bikes.

I appreciate the advice. actually, i have a small spot of paint missing from the front of the car. it's not much, but unfortunately it's right at the point on the front of the car, right below the upper grill. because of where it is, i'm just not convinced that a touch-up will ever look perfect. the guys insurance company agreed and paid out on the claim. In Baltimore I had gotten an estimate on a full bumper repaint from a highly recommended shop near my house but before I left I just didn't really have the down time and I wanted to keep as much cash on hand for the move as possible. now i'm in a new area where i don't know much around me and I need a really good, reputable, trustworthy body shop to do this repaint. If I have to drive out of town to have peace of mind while it's in the shop, I will. obviously it would be better if i didn't have to, but any help anyone can offer is greatly appreciated.

There's a body shop near me (40 min from champaign) that does good work. He started out as a dent shop and since expanded into a full body shop. I trust him to work on my car (painted my interior and hood) so if you want his info I can pass it along.

I have a friend that owns a body shop but not real sure on the quality of work he does. Everything that I have seen that he has done looks neal nice to me. He does however, have a guy who can airbrush real well.......some of the best work I have seen. I can ask around though and see what I can find out for you.

Only one I know of is in Pontiac, IL on Sunday. Not real crazy about the catagories. I'm going to be in Indy all day Saturday so I'll probably pass on this for Sunday. Two kitchen passes in one weekend is hard to get these days.
