I have actually been asking myself the question, if I had a million bucks, would I have gone for the v8? I dunno maybe, but I still would have been attracted more to the v6 because its a better daily driver IMHO. Now if there was a z28 out and I had a million bucks I would go for the z28 for sure

And picked up a v6 for DD.

You have not been here long enough to know the history of the SS guys that put down the V6 owners at every opportunity, and tell them that deep down they wanted an SS.. this will prove once and for all the Majority of V6 buyers are very happy with the performance the V6 gives them and have no need to splurge for an SS.
What is pointless is those that think they know what everyone else really wants... to them I ask this.. when the Z28 comes out and the people that continue to buy the SS, will they tell the new SS buyers,"Deep down you know you wanted a Z28"..

I love my V6. I never even considered the V8, it wasn't what I was looking for in a car. I've also never heard anyone put me or my car down because it's a 6 and not an 8.

Both V6 and V8 C5 are awsome! For me it was like 1/4 miler or Touring car? I bought a RS not an SS. With the V8 it's a different handling car, I didn't like the feel...nose heavy to me. Now my car is stock, and running every gear thru the 6sp auto at 3500 to 4000 rpm....music! I driven many 930 turbos....gm got the v6 right it is amazing peice of engineering. I LIKE IT.

I love the V6 - plenty of passing power and so much fun to drive. If I could do it over, I MIGHT buy the V8, just 'cause it's even sexier.

Now that I got my v2 airaid, and am getting 25 mpg, yes. But I gotta do something about the exhaust. Waiting to get magnaflow cat-back.

Well we have had 6 SS guys vote dissatisfied , after many repeated requests for ss owners not to vote in this pole.. so you can see the actual percentage should be even higher than it is right now... oh and a few even voted in the performance does not matter section...

I could care less what a v8 guy or anybody else says. I wish somebody would tell me what to buy. If you not trying to make my payments for me then shut the f*#k up. I could have bought a used c6 corvette for what I payed for my v6 camaro but I love the way the camaro looks.

I had to choose between a 2lt/rs or a 1ss. It all depends whats more important to you.. horsepower or convenience options.. Contrary to popular belief not everybody buys a camaro, mustang, or challenger for the 1/4 or 0-60 time
