Questions for 2010 Camaro owners...
What's up guys - new to the forums, but have been browsing it for a while and finally decided to register. I just had some quick questions for the '10 Camaro owners:
How is the visibility in the car? I forgot where, but I read that the car had poor visibility and that was listed as one of the few cons about the ride. I'd appreciate any feedback on that. Also, which do you guys think is the best bang for the buck? Both the V6 and V8 are bargains for how much car you get for the price, but based on my research and the reviews I read, it seems like V6 is the better value. Opinions? Thanks in advance. All cars have a blind-spot, the “Coke Bottle” side profile, where the rear fender rise, up creates this issue for the Camaro. I don’t worry much about what it behind me am more concerned with what’s out front.
Engine selection depends on how you plan to drive your Camaro. As for option I think most would agree get the RS with either engine. Good Luck |

Welcome! Visibility inside the car takes some getting use to, feels like your riding in a chop top car..... also the mirror does take up about 30% of the viewing area. All in all, you can still see everything you need to....but my have problems watching stop lights. Best bang for the buck would be both! They both are fun to drive and everyone stares at you when you get it out on the street...

Welcome, visibility is limited but manageable. Any camaro is a trophy to be cherished.
If not counting on gas mileage, the LS3 is more shiney.

This has been discussed many times, so try the search button. You should get quite a bit of input.
That being said, it is tight the first time you sit in one.............after 25,000 miles I don't notice it much at all.

You can get use to seeing out of this car, my other vehicle is a 2500 HD Crewcab so visibility is not a problem at all, but the Camaro takes some getting use to, but definitely not a deal breaker, This car is AWESOME

Thought of it limited @ first, but then you get used to it, kinda makes you focus on the driving(like inside of a tank). I use blind spot mirrors as well(can't be too careful). Cool as hell from the outside looking in though..
Can't imagine fish tailing a tank(v8) either... |

I have no visibility issues with mine, I have driven corvettes for years and they are similar as far as visibility goes. Get use to your mirrors and you'll have no problems. The LS3 manual has a nice growl to it and plenty of pep.

I love the attributes of the V-6. It is dichotemy of sorts, a blend of old school and new school. I was worried about blind spots before I bought the car, but I have adjusted very well. One thing, you might want to wait for rear parking assist, that would be nice to have.

See
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23856 which refers to the following on how to adjust your mirrors: http://www.linquist.net/motorsports/tech/mirrors/ It takes some getting use to, but with this method I haven't had any problems with blind spots in my Camaro.

My 5'6 wife drove ours for the first time yesterday with no problems after adjusting the mirrors.
