Liquid glass

For those of you who use (or have used) Liquid Glass:

Is there a need to put a coat of wax over it? Or any other product, for that matter?

I still have a can of this in the closet that's like nine years old. Wonder if it's still any good? I just don't like how hard it is to apply and remove and it will turn plastic white if you get it on it and from what I remember there's a lot of white dust when removing it. I just use Megs cleaner wax on my daily drivers anymore. It's so easy to apply and remove and doesn't turn plastic white or create white dust when removing although Liquid Glass probably will last a lot longer but my vehicles sit outside so I like to use cleaner wax on them once a month regardless... Liquid Glass does bead water like mad and gives you that Zaino-like look.

I called the place that makes the stuff and they had to comply due to the following I believe however they had no choice.

Liquid Glass Enterprises Inc. Case Settles for $100,000
This page last reviewed December 29, 2011

On March 7, 2011, the California Air Resources Board resolved a case with Liquid Glass Enterprises Inc., by way of a Consent Judgment from the Superior Court of the County of Los Angeles. Liquid Glass sold into California at least 6,246 units of non-compliant Liquid Glass Ultimate Auto Polish/Finish and 2,531 units of Liquid Glass Pre-Cleaner that exceeded the volatile organic compound (VOC) limits in the Automotive Wax/Polish and Automotive Rubbing and Polishing compound regulations (title17, California Code of Regulations (CCR), section 94509(a)). Additionally, Liquid Glass violated Title 17, section 94512, by failing to clearly display the date of manufacture on both products from 2005 through at least 2007. After Liquid Glass was made aware of the violations, they contested the ARB’s laboratory findings, eventually resulting in referral of the case to the Attorney General’s Office. Liquid Glass Enterprises, Inc. agreed to pay $60,000 in civil penalties to settle the case and an additional $40,000 of penalties which will be suspended if the company does not violate the consumer products regulations as specified under the terms of the 5 year injunction incorporated in the Consent Judgment.

Just bought it in May. I actually found it easier to apply and remove than wax and most car polishes. Must be the new formula.

Anyhoo, I initially did the two coats (letting it "bake" in the sun per instructions), then applied a third coat today. The gloss...oh my. I have other products, but it doesn't appear that they are needed. However, my skeptical side wondered why more people don't use Liquid Glass. Thanks for the input so far.

Same lighting, big difference!

I've used it for years. I am still on my original can, so I can't speak to the new stuff. One word of caution, do your prep very well. It takes some work to get liquid glass off if you find an imperfection you want to fix. As mentioned earlier, it will leave a white residue on plastic, rubber etc... if you get it on there.

I have been using LG for a few years and never experienced what you refer to.I find it easy on and off, never any white dust. You must be putting way too much on.
I have one car that has 18 coats.I just started putting a few coats of Collinite on it and it improved the gloss.Collinite is the most hydrphobic product I've ever used.

Liquid glass

I had used Liquid Glass for years .I now use Rejex and it is longer lasting and nothing sticks to it . It is a real PITA to let it sit in a garage for 12 hours between applications to cure ,but once cured it is outstanding. If you follow the instructions it works like a MF .No way you can beat it for the price $19.99 for 16 oz.
