The order is placed in workbench in front of you, while you are in the dealers office. The printout is produced, you look at it and verify that what you want is what was ordered. The printout has YOUR NAME on it, it also has YOUR ORDER# on it. The whole process takes less than 15 mins. You walk out of the dealership with that paper. Whether they take a deposit or not is imaterial at least you now have proof that the car is exactly what you ordered. The dealer DOES NOT need allocation to place the order. There is no reason to leave the dealer without a printout and an order #.

Oh yeah I forgot one minor detail about your order OuSoonersGirl............. When you pick up your Camaro, and you are taking your pics, You have to be wearing a Texas Longhorns Shirt!!!! HAHAHAHA

For everyone that has helped OUSoonersGirl, please know that her Camaro left from the Oshawa plant via railcar at 5:01pm on 9/24. It's moving and should be delivered within 2 weeks if there are no transit issues.

I feel your pain here, I do have a number but have been sitting at 1100 since 8/31, and getting my dealer is like getting the "President" on the line... I would love to pull out from them but if I do I will lose the $500 deposit...

That is correct! I placed my order for 2SS RJT, 8/4/09, but my paperwork did not have my order # on it only the options I requested, I had to wait 6 weeks to finally get the correct order # after getting two Buick order numbers! as of 10/4, I am still at 1100! Thank god it does'nt snow in Florida! And the Dealer has no Idea where my car is! Was told the deposit of 10k was non-refundable, so I can't even go to another Dealer! Any Suggestions?
