Don't those cars cost like 100k each?? Thats too pricey, L99 G8 cop cars would would be more affordable, have better handling, faster etc... IMO.

Their website says the price will be comparible to standard police models based on passenger cars - that leads me to believe it will be priced competitively with impala/crown vic/v6 charger and cheaper than the hemi charger.

P.S. - Personally, I'm all for this.

part of the intimidating marked vehicles is to get people to slow down and behave; they can't catch everyone so it acts as a type of deterrent

Dude, after you add all of the gadgets, safety, locks, rip out the backseat, and customize a crown vic, Plus all the labor to put it in..., your looking at a 100 grand... Cop cars ain't cheap man. Plus, your getting a car designed to do a job at reasonable the same price!

I thought it was slow too, but speed isn't everything in a police car. I believe carbon motors has striven to make a vehicle that is cost efficient (Diesel - 28-30 mpgs!) and can still be run through the ground in a car chase. Driving offroad, over curbs if you must, following your perpetrater through whatever mess he has taken you through and ensuring that you make it through. Survival of the vehicle is more important in a chase than speed.

I also thought AWD would be a great addition to this vehicle, but I have no idea how dependable that is or whether or not it will bring down the fuel efficiency of the vehicle
