Random Observation of the Day

Today's random observation of the day:

The side mirror window defogger vents that flow air when the front windshield defroster is engaged. Anyone notice that it never actually flows onto the window, but is directed to either the door panel or your left hand (on the wheel)?

I don't understand. In the pic it looks like it is directed to the window. How can it change and be directed to your left hand on the wheel?

Mine does a good job of clearing around where the sideview mirror is, maybe your foam gasket on the inside is out of whack or something?

Maybe the left and right are mixed up?

My guess is that it's either deflecting off the door panel/tweeter, or the slight downward angle of the dash is forcing the air down instead of the intended direction. My windows ultimately don't fog up, but I think that's more of a cumulative effect than a result of the side defogger vents. Try it: put your control into front windshield defog, and put the fan speed control up to twelve. Note where the air is actually going toward...I can't be the only one, lol .
